On Veteran’s Day, we honor our veterans far and near for their valor. We salute, wave, and say thank you. Our armed forces gave and the ones currently on the job, continue to give what they can for us --- to keep us warm at night, a home to live in, and a unique freedom not found in other countries. We are fortunate that they fight the battles that we cannot. We owe them a world of gratitude, which is what they give to us each and every day to keep us free. Sit with this for a moment and ponder the fact that our military men and women  at home and on other soil, protect us bravely, honestly, and with a vigor that they cannot explain, and we cannot conceive. They were, and are happy to do what they do, and for that we put on our own boots and walk in gratitude. We smile and pray for our veterans and for our country.

Being grateful is what the month of November is about. It’s not just autumn with beautiful leaves in many parts of the country and snow in others, we have 30 days to show appreciation. Thanksgiving is our inspiration.

Beyond the commercial side of our Thanksgiving holiday, and before we carve up the turkey and dish up the cranberry sauce, we recognize and show thankfulness for all and who we have in our lives. We look to family and friends for a deeper meaning, and connection. Seeking togetherness, we wrap ourselves in the warmth of family stories that recall or create memories. As we were created to be social beings, we  interact with others, and demonstrate love and compassion for one another.

This Thanksgiving holiday, you are wished the opportunity to surround yourself with  those who mean the most to you whether near or far. With the possibility of online services such as Zoom, Skype or Facetime, may your family and friends be closer to you if not physically in the same presence.

It is in our DNA to be thankful, to give our best and to give back. While the month of November reminds us of this, the spirit of being grateful for all that we have actually lives with us all year. It is a gift to recognize and acknowledge it.

I, personally, am grateful for those who have supported me over the years and for those who continue to trust me each day with their business. I am thankful for the clients who have allowed me to capture those very special moments. I know that you have choices, and it is my privilege to work diligently, providing you with value and integrity. From the heart … thank you.

May you be blessed with a Happy Thanksgiving with family, friends, and the taste of gratitude all year.
