As We Start Afresh in 2022 ~

We rang in 2022 with a resounding Happy New Year! With the dawning of another 365 days, we might have resolved to make our lives better; however, many promises to ourselves are left behind. Do we need a gym membership, do we need to begin journaling, will that diet last us all year? Instead of resolutions this year, perhaps resolving to make goal setting more intentional is the way to go.

The first day of the new year, January 1, is not just for football and parades anymore. We’re taking down the tree, taking down the lights and trying to celebrate the new year with family in between touchdowns and purchasing calendars.

Our Wonderful American  Flag

When we look up, see our flag flying high and proud, we witness history. We also remember Upholsterer, Betsy Ross --- the creator of the first American flag in 1776. We honor her on her birthday, January 1. As history has it, Mrs. Ross was visited by General George Washington, Commander-in-Chief, and others to discuss details and her role in creating the flag. We are forever indebted to Betsy Ross for her talents and dedication to our country.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Martin Luther King, Jr., was an icon in our time. He stood for goodness, civility, and honor. He died   defending the good in America. He “had a dream” --- that all should be treated fairly and honorably.

Mr. King said,” There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor polite, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right.”

“We must live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”

We celebrate the life of Mr. King, Jr., on his birthday, January 17. We remember him for his great, and positive contributions to our country.

Jackie Robinson Day --- Play Ball!

Baseball season --- where we go to watch one of our favorite pastimes, resumes on Thursday, March 31. We buy souvenirs, peanuts, beer, hot dogs, pretzels, garlic fries, and malteds, all for the love of our beloved teams and players.

As we think of and honor baseball greats such as Willie Mays, Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax, and so many more, we revere Jackie Robinson on his birthday, January 31. This legend was the first African American man to bring his talent and play baseball in the major leagues. He played second base for the Brooklyn Dodgers --- commencing his career on April 15, 1947, in the MLB League. He played for the Negro League in 1945. After he retired from baseball, Mr. Robinson’s number (42) was retired by all MLB teams.  This revered player ended segregation in the sport of baseball, bringing so many gifted players to share their brilliance with their fans. We thank the late Mr. Robinson for his great contributions to this exciting sport!

The Camera Does Not Lie

When we agree to work with our clients, we, the professionals at CA&C Video Productions, want to help put you in your best light whether it’s a memory, a testimonial, or other service. We will help you to say what you would like to say, and we will assist with your appearance on camera.

Testimonials

We are committed to helping our clients say what they desire while being fearless in the presence of the camera. We strive to make your session as seamless and as relaxed as possible with few to no reshoots. Your shoot  should be as realistic as possible while responding to the questions of the vendor. Your honest answers will provide credibility, and an honest account of what the vendor offers and how those wares or services are offered. We will encourage you to be as genuine as possible, relax and be yourself. It is our job to help you in whatever ways that we can, while you provide a testimonial for a colleague’s business that helps deliver how you feel.

We thank you for reading our newsletter and look forward to working with you in 2022.
